SLEPPA
Exhibition in hAughús, Héraðsdalur, Skagafjörður 27.06.26 - 09.08.26 .
Sleppa is a group exhibition featuring fifteen artists in seven mother-daughter pairs. The title of the exhibition refers to letting go. It is a multilayered concept, explored here primarily in the context of the mother-daughter relationship, reflecting on the transformative energy released when ceasing to hold on tightly. Seven mothers and daughters working in the visual arts come together in a dialogue. Through this gathering, light is shed on how the tension between fear and love, attachment and freedom manifests within the mother-daughter relationship, as well as on how the desire to make art is transmitted through the umbilical cord.
Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
